3rd session~HALLIWELL goes well....!

over 6 months..lying on the bed, eating and sleeping..now i had a chance to open the book..BOOK???wow...helo, being a teacher, book is your pillow..but for me, frankly speaking..i am not a bookish...!

okay, let me share about my 3rd session with our lecture, Pn Foziah..hurmm..." please open SUSAN HALLIWELL's book"..OMG..I forgot to bring..fortunately my deskmate brought it.. i smiled to him..he replied back" do i care!"..FISH!!!

Pn foziah explained to us that in that particular chapter entitled working with young language learners, there were 6 main points..so, she formed 6 groups which every group took one point..i got number 3...

for the first time, i opened the book and read...!gasped, drawn,suffocated..all in one...! my point was children's capacity for indirect learning..."do you have any idea about that?"....hurmmm.....let me explain..well, i am Professional..

look at the powerpoint below..swallow and decipher the meaning of each line..God willing...!

haha...!got it?,,dont be sad...briefly is about direct vs indirect learning..traditionally, in the classroom, the situation might be dull, not really interesting and refer too much to the book..where is the place of EXCITEMENT..come on, bear in mind, pupils are fun and creating fun in the classroom is needed..i quote this line for us.."Language activities which involve children in guessing what phrase or word someone has thought of are very good examples of this phenomenon in action. As far as children are concerned, they are not trying to learn phrases: they are concentrating on trying to guess right....."They will have got the phrases firmly into their minds. Guessing is actually a powerful way of learning phrases and structures, but it is indirect, because the mind is engaged with the task and is not focusing on the language"....(susan halliwell:(2004)..~sigh~...BE a teacher, we are the actor, playing many roles as to attract pupils attention..dont be numb in the class plus fierce face..soon,you will not get lot of presents during teachers' day..haaaaaaaaa...
